Membership is how ARC stays artist-led. Two ways in: make the work, or make the work possible.

  • Artist Member

    For anyone who practises, works, trains or supports themselves in artistic, creative or cultural work — any discipline, any stage.

    $60/ year

    Indicative pricing, to be confirmed by the board.

    • Ten votes at meetings of members
    • Priority registration for The Rising Room, ARC Passage and clinics
    • Profile on the Artist Members page
    • Opportunity to show work in the gallery and at ARC RISE
    • Member pricing on ticketed events

  • General Member

    For supporters, patrons, volunteers, businesses and organizations that believe artists deserve a roadmap.

    $40/ year

    Indicative pricing, to be confirmed by the board.

    • One vote at meetings of members
    • Invitations to all public activations
    • Member pricing on ticketed events
    • Newsletter with open calls and impact updates
    • Bulk memberships available for organizations and sponsors

Questions

Do I need a portfolio to be an Artist Member?
No. Artist Membership isn't limited to any medium, style or definition of art. If you make creative work, you qualify.
Can my organization buy memberships for our team?
Yes. Bulk purchases of Artist, General or mixed memberships are recorded in the member register with voting rights matched to each membership.
How do I cancel?
Memberships renew automatically each year. Cancel from your renewal reminder email any time before the renewal date.
Are donations tax-receiptable?
Not yet. ARC Society is a not-for-profit corporation and doesn't issue official donation receipts unless and until it registers as a charity.
